This Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the data between external systems, warehousing and EDI applications, tracking all implementation and managing expectation and risk. This position includes daily monitoring of file processing, and the troubleshooting of issues impacting successful receipt or delivery of client files, within the team and other groups. You routinely report to the IT Director as well as other key management staff. This position also acts as a liaison between business and technical teams.

  • Clear communications that are concise to all, up and down the org chart
    • Developing and presenting oral presentations
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in managed health care preferred
    • Mentor, who shares commitment to leading by example, especially when it comes to accountability and getting things done with a sense of pride

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and User Stories
  • Health Care experience (e.g. 834, 837, etc.)
  • Comfort with prioritization of work and multiple demands
  • Adequate attention span for consuming detailed information and quickly learn business and process flows
  • Ability to gather data points via database repositories, i.e. SQL select queries, and searching and finding data on network file shares, profiling tools
  • Ability to summarize technical information and explain it to less-technical team members
  • Experience in writing documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections, manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures

 

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Primary liaison between the businesses, IT, trading partners, contracted networks, vendors and providers’ ASC X12 transactions function appropriately on a daily basis.
  • Manage and lead all EDI projects including documentation, quality assurance, implementation support, and workflow management.
  • Manage work intake, prioritization, assignment and maintenance of EDI processes and applications.
  • Manage and oversee the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any EDI process or system issues
  • Lead the monitoring of all inbound and outbound EDI feeds necessary to achieve positive outcomes including eligibility, claims, maximum out of pockets, health plan employer data and information sets, and any other electronic data interchange files as required.
  • Identifies and encourages areas for growth and improvement within the team as well as assists with solution refinement, internal team process reviews, development standards, and the interview process.
  • Develop and maintain mappings/cross-walks for both internal and external health care data to ensure business continuity and operational efficiencies.
  • Creation of companion guides and files specifications for inbound and outbound data exchanges.
